SMÀ¦°ó adopts balanced budget

The Council of Commissioners of the SMÀ¦°ó has  adopted a balanced budget, with revenues of $438.5 million for the 2024-2025 academic year.

As permitted by Budgetary Rules, the SMÀ¦°ó has included in next year’s budget the equivalent of 15 percent of the adjusted June 30, 2023 accumulated surplus.  This will allow the board to benefit from an amount of  $9.7 million of additional funds.

With a youth and adult sector population of more than 35,000 students, the SMÀ¦°ó (SMÀ¦°ó) is the largest English public school board in Quebec. Established on July 1, 1998, when the province created new boards along linguistic lines, the SMÀ¦°ó network consists of 73 schools and centres.
